The Kofi Annan Fellowship in Global Governance invites sponsorship from companies, foundations and individual donors interested in joining the on-going global dialogue pertaining to all aspects of corporate governance. Your support of one or more fellowships will translate into significant research addressing the challenges of governance and social responsibility faced by the private and public sectors.

What You Will Achieve

The Kofi Annan Fellowship in Global Governance will provide constructive findings through research and practical engagement within your organization, enabling you to address contemporary problems related to globalization, corporate citizenship and sustainable development in a multi-stakeholder context. The final three months of the fellowship will focus on assembling the information, and providing a written report that private and public sector organizations and institutions can use to monitor their progress, as well as to better position themselves to develop short and long-range projects targeting specific areas of concern related to social responsibility.

Sponsorship of this initiative offers an opportunity for further engagement with the private sector, academia, government and select UN agencies that are working toward achieving an ever higher level of governance. The results gleaned from support of this program will enable you to improve corporate / brand management, employee morale and productivity, as well as the efficiency of your organization’s local and global operations.

Recognition of Sponsors

These promotional vehicles provide not only an avenue to distribute tools, research findings and good-practice models, but also to reward and recognize sponsors, participating institutions and the fellows. In addition, the fellows will act as Global Ambassadors for the Global Compact, adding to its resource base, and disseminating the Compact’s principles.

Named Scholarship

Financial commitments for full scholarships will incorporate the sponsor’s name integrated under the title Kofi Annan Fellowship in Global Governance, i.e. the Kofi Annan / Deutsche Bank Fellow in Global Governance.

Prominent placement of your institutions logo on all publication materials, including:Letterhead;
Kofi Annan Fellowship Website and all partner institutions;
Advertisements distributed to major publications and academic institutions;
Recognition in the final research journal published at the end of each academic year and distributed internationally;

Ceremonial Recognition

At the conclusion of each nine-month fellowship, a formal ceremony will be held that brings together the UN Global Compact, partner universities and collaborating corporations, each drawing on an excellent press base, to commemorate fellows and sponsors and serving as a multi-stakeholder platform to release official findings.
