Christina Gradl is a PhD student in economic ethics at the University of Halle-Wittenberg, Germany. Her research focuses on the role of MNCs in developing countries. More concretely, she analyzes the benefits and structural difficulties of including the poor in the marketplace.

Currently, Christina is also completing a MSc in Philosophy of Public Policy at London School of Economics. She holds a Diploma (German Master’s equivalent) in International Business and Cultural Studies with a focus on Latin America from the University of Passau, Germany and has studied at USAL, Buenos Aires, and Columbia University, New York City.

Christina is a Fellow Associate at McKinsey & Company. In this role, she has contributed to a wide area of strategic consulting projects in the public, private and non-profit sector. Recently, she has worked as a volunteer consultant for the UN Seed Initiative, supporting rice farmers in Sri Lanka, Cambodia and Madagascar to build marketing channels for their products. Christina has long been interested in the role of business in society and has organized various initiatives to build bridges between the private and the non-profit sector.
